The Hun\u00adga\u00adri\u00adan bag\u00adpi\u00adpe (ma\u00adgyar du\u00adda), now al\u00admost for\u00adgot\u00adten, re\u00adap\u00adpears in ma\u00adny of my songs: It was on\u00adce the sym\u00adbol of that free\u00addom which was a&nbsp;thorn in the si\u00adde of the com\u00admu\u00adnists, and who\u00adse sound I&nbsp;sor\u00adely miss in today\u2019s Hun\u00adga\u00adri\u00adan mu\u00adsic.<br>An al\u00adbum that con\u00adveys the histo\u00adry of Hun\u00adga\u00adry in a&nbsp;com\u00adple\u00adte\u00adly new way: The\u00adse are not me\u00adre\u00adly songs; the length and depth of most tracks bear wit\u00adness to Hun\u00adga\u00adri\u00adan histo\u00adry in its de\u00adtail and wi\u00adth pro\u00adfound per\u00adso\u00adnal en\u00adga\u00adge\u00adment.<br>A work that mo\u00adves lis\u00adten\u00aders not on\u00adly mu\u00adsi\u00adcal\u00adly, but opens their eyes to histo\u00adry. <br>Thus, for on\u00adce, Hungary\u2019s histo\u00adry is not dry and di\u00addac\u00adtic, but co\u00admes ali\u00adve, is vi\u00advid, and can be tru\u00adly felt.<br><br><strong>A spe\u00adcial thank-you goes to<\/strong><br>M\u00e1\u00adria from P\u00e9cs, who trans\u00adla\u00adted my ly\u00adrics\u200a\u2014\u200awhich I&nbsp;al\u00adways wri\u00adte in Ger\u00adman first\u200a\u2014\u200ain\u00adto per\u00adfect Hun\u00adga\u00adri\u00adan, ther\u00adeby ma\u00adking the mu\u00adsic even mo\u00adre au\u00adthen\u00adtic.<br><br><strong>Why this mu\u00adsic al\u00adbum?<\/strong><br>I have be\u00aden li\u00adving in a&nbsp;freer Hun\u00adga\u00adry for ten ye\u00adars, and never in my life have I&nbsp;be\u00aden as free as I&nbsp;am he\u00adre. Ever\u00ady\u00adthing was in uphe\u00adaval; not\u00adhing was cer\u00adtain, and not\u00adhing was tru\u00adly free.<br>It is on\u00adly in the last ten ye\u00adars, he\u00adre in Hun\u00adga\u00adry, that I&nbsp;have found what I&nbsp;have be\u00aden sear\u00adching for my en\u00adti\u00adre life: free\u00addom of thought, ac\u00adtion, and choice. Free\u00addom that me\u00adans li\u00adving in peace, en\u00adjoy\u00ading life, and sha\u00adping it as one wis\u00adhes. Af\u00adter mo\u00adre than 50&nbsp;ye\u00adars of strugg\u00adle, op\u00adpres\u00adsi\u00adon, and un\u00adcer\u00adtain\u00adty, I&nbsp;have found a&nbsp;home in Hun\u00adga\u00adry: a&nbsp;coun\u00adtry that gi\u00adves me the op\u00adpor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty to cla\u00adim my free\u00addom.<br>That is why this al\u00adbum is not on\u00adly a&nbsp;tri\u00adbu\u00adte to Hungary\u2019s histo\u00adry, but al\u00adso a&nbsp;per\u00adso\u00adnal thank you to all Hun\u00adga\u00adri\u00adans.
